About Hearne Law

Jennifer is the owner and founder of Hearne Law, PLLC. She represents a wide range of clients in wage and hour, employment discrimination, sexual harassment, severance, retaliation, wrongful discharge and contract disputes. Jennifer counsels employers in developing best employment policies and practices. She also advises and assists plaintiffs regarding how to assert their rights against current or former employers.

Prior to forming Hearne Law, Jennifer worked as an associate attorney for a local boutique law firm. She also spent over 6 years as Corporate Counsel and Director of Human Resources for Northwest Lineman College. Before law school, Jennifer spent close to 20 years working as a professional in the field of Human Resources.

Jennifer received her Juris Doctor from the University of Idaho College of Law where she was named a Dean’s Scholar 4 out of 6 semesters. Jennifer was also the Technical Editor for UI College of Law’s Critical Legal Studies Journal, and a research assistant to the Dean of Students. While attending law school, Jennifer spent a summer in Brussels, Belgium where she earned a Certificate in European Union Law. During her last semester of law school, she externed as a judicial clerk for the Idaho Court of Appeals.

Jennifer is active in several professional associations including Idaho Women Lawyers, Inns of Court, and several sections of the Idaho State Bar. Jennifer also serves as an officer with the Fourth District Bar Association and is a volunteer Mountain Host at Bogus Basin.
